Free Household Hazardous Waste Pick-up Service
If you’re doing any spring cleaning in the near
future, make sure you dispose of your household hazardous waste properly.
Glendale residents can sign up for a free pick-up service at 623-930-2660. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served
basis for the first 750 households who call. Spring appointments will be taken from Feb. 22 to March 19 and collections are March 15 through April 2. Learn more (pdf) |

Glendale’s Green Festival is teaming up with the Glendale Family Bike Ride on Saturday, March 27, and both events are bigger than ever! This free something-for-everyone event is a great opportunity for people of all ages to get a little exercise and learn about water and energy efficiency, alternative transportation, going solar, and many other green-living practices.

Mark your calendar for the next city of Glendale sponsored blood drive on Tuesday, March 16 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Bloodmobile in Downtown Glendale's Murphy Park. As mandated by the United States Constitution, a census is conducted to count everyone living in the United States. In partnership with the U.S. Census, the City of Glendale will be assisting to ensure that a thorough count of persons living in our community is completed by April 1, 2010.
