| Community Partnerships - Mediation |
Whether the issue is a loud, late night party or a homeowner’s association dispute, life can quickly sour if residents refuse to abide by community rules. Since 2002, Glendale's Community Mediation Program has successfully assisted hundreds of residents in resolving disputes between neighbors.
With the assistance of certified volunteer mediators, residents are given the opportunity to fully express their feelings and concerns in a neutral, non-threatening environment. Glendale mediators are residents themselves who want to assist in providing a service that will make our community a great place to live. The program also provides Spanish-speaking mediators, if necessary.
Glendale's Community Mediation Program, which provides residents another method of resolving disputes without costly legal fees, can be used to resolve the following types of disputes:
- Interpersonal disputes between neighbors
- Animal complaints
- Unregulated property maintenance issues, such as landscaping
- HOA and neighborhood board conflicts
- Noise and general nuisance issues
