The Glendale Fire Department provides a top quality of life safety service that includes five core interactive services including:
- Fire Prevention and Education ~ Public Education, Inspections, Investigations and Code Adoption
- Fire Suppression ~ Firefighting
- EMS ~ Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support
- Special Operations ~ Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue
- Crisis Response ~ Social Services
These services offered by Glendale Fire are guaranteed by using: The Automatic Aid system, Intergovernmental Agreements with surrounding agencies, public/private partnerships, a pool of dedicated, highly skilled firefighters, and a proven track record of quality service from public venues to individual residents. |
2011 will bring additional challenges and changes in our community; however, the Glendale Fire Department will continue to work through the labor/management process to find ways of controlling costs and maintaining services.
We will also continue to use innovative ways of doing business by seeking new partnerships and maintaining the ones we have. Our partnerships bring realistic opportunities to the department and city and provide an awareness of the companies’ commitment to the community, as well as acknowledging the courageous efforts of our department and their goal of upholding our mission statement; “Fast, Caring, Innovative and Professional.”
We are proud of the services we provide to the community and will continue to be responsible stewards of your resources, safety and trust. We wish you a healthy, happy new year.
Always at your service,

Mark Burdick
