Adult Softball Leagues
SIGN UP takes place on the dates noted under each sport, at the Parks & Recreation office, 5850 W. Glendale Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Glendale Parks and Recreation does not place individuals on teams, but individuals may be listed on a Free Agent List made available to teams short on players. If you would like to be placed on the Free Agent List or have any questions about Adult Sports, please contact Mike D. at 623-930-2841 or mdavis@glendaleaz.com. Adult Sports program participants must be age 18 or older.

To receive Glendale resident rates, proof of residency must be provided. Proof must show address and be current within 60 days. Examples include driver’s license, water bill, etc. (Teams will pay the maximum non-resident fee until proof of residency is verified, then a refund will be issued for the appropriate amount. Refunds take 7-10 business days.)

GLENDALE ADULT SOFTBALL FORMAT
Sign up for a variety of adult leagues six nights a week. The Glendale Parks and Recreation rules along with ASA modified rules will be applied. Team trophy and shirts are awarded to first place teams and a team trophy for runner-up and 3rd place teams. Entries spaces are limited for 8 teams in each division.
- REGISTRATION STATUS:
FEES FOR RETURNING/NEW RESIDENT TEAMS OR NON RESIDENT TEAMS: $505-$595 depending on your team status. To b a resident team you must have at least 4 Glendale residents on your roster. ($50 off registration fees for attending the mandatory coaches meeting (Coaches meeting are held 2 – 3 weeks prior to start of each season.
- 2012 SOFTBALL SEASONS:
Games will be played on some holidays only excluding a few.
WINTER SEASON: January – mid March (Offering only Coed divisions at FSC & SRSC)
SPRING SEASON: early April – mid June (Offering all divisions at FSC & SRSC)
SUMMER SEASON: late July – late September (Offering all divisions at FSC & SRSC)
FALL SEASON: early October – mid December (Offering all divisions at FSC & SRSC)
- LEAGUE/LOCATIONS (can change from season to season)
All leagues play double headers format one night a week. 14 games double header regular season with end of the season with single elimination tournament at these locations. 15 GAMES GUARANTEED!

SRSC=Sahuaro Ranch Sports Complex, 9895 N. 63rd Ave.
- LEAGUE FORMAT: All DIVISION will consist of eight (8) teams.
- GAME TIMES: Fridays: 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30 p.m. • Sundays: 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 p.m.

ORGANIZATIONAL MEETINGS: Monday, June 4, at the City Council Chambers, 5850 W. Glendale Ave. RETURNING TEAMS, 6 p.m. and NEW TEAMS, 7 p.m. Teams represented by a manager or team player during the entire meeting will receive $50 OFF league sign up.
SIGN UP STARTS TUESDAY, JUNE 5. Sign up packets will be available at the Glendale Parks & Recreation office, 5850 W. Glendale Ave.(M-F 8 a.m.-5 p.m.)., June 5-8. RETURNING TEAMS roster and temporary receipt is due upon registration NEW TEAM packets with rosters and temporary receipt are due Thursday, June 7, by 5 p.m. NEW TEAM registration/lottery will be held Saturday, June 9.
RATES: Returning and Glendale resident teams: $505 • New Resident Teams (min. of 4 Glendale residents): $505 • New Non-resident Teams: $595. Fees include double-header, 14-game regular season and a single-elimination tournament; ASA sanction fees; softballs; lights; awards for winning teams; officials and field staff. (Listed rates do NOT include any discount.) To receive Glendale resident rates, required proof of residency must be provided. Teams will pay the maximum non-resident rate until residency is verified.
NUMBER OF TEAMS: Leagues are based on 8 maximum, 6 minimum. If leagues do not fill, teams will be placed in another league if space permits.
