Where's Glendale? Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, February 11
Murphy Park, 58th & Glendale avenues
Check in @ 8:30 a.m. / Hunt begins @ 9 a.m.

Join in the adventure of the hunt... travel the streets of Glendale as you hunt for unique locations and items throughout the city. Clues will be obtained by participating in physical activities or solving puzzles. It’s a race against the clock. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams! Only 20 teams will be accepted... so sign up today! Decorate your scavenger hunt vehicle and enter it in the Best Decorated Scavenger Hunt Vehicle Contest! $100 per team/vehicle sign up fee. Spring Break Turnaround
Depart at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 17, from the Desert Mirage Elementary School parking lot, 8605 W. Maryland Ave. and arrive back 5 a.m. Sunday, March 18.
Looking for something awesome to do during Spring Break? You and your family can join us for the SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN Turnaround! Turnaround includes round trip bus transportation (with lite snacks) and entrance admission. Meals are not included. $95 per person (non-resident $110 per person). G.R.A.S.P.
Glendale Recreation After School Program

Kids, be a part of G.R.A.S.P.... the Glendale After School Recreation Program!
Featuring indoor and outdoor activities, games, study time, guest speakers and more!
G.R.A.S.P. is a supervised, drop-in recreation program for students in grades 1–8. Registration is required, along with a $35 ($45 non-resident) per semester, per participant, supply fee. (There is no additional charge for program hours.) The program is available at...

  • Glendale Community Center, 5401 W. Ocotillo Rd.
  • Barcelona Middle School (Grades 4-8), 4432 W. Maryland Ave.
  • O’Neil Recreation Center, 6448 W. Missouri Ave.
  • Rose Lane Recreation Center, 5003 W. Marlette Ave.

Program hours are from school dismissal to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). To register, visit one of the above locations during program hours or register at the Parks & Recreation office at 5850 W. Glendale Ave., Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. For more information, call 623-930-2820.

Licensed GRASP BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL Recreation Program
Qualifies for DES assistance!

A GREAT licensed recreation program offering a variety of FUN activities for children ages 5–13. Featured are arts and crafts, group games, educational and recreational activities,
homework time, guest speakers, snacks and more! The focus is the total well-being and safety of each child.

The program is regulated by the Arizona Department of Health Services and accepts DES qualifying families (contact your caseworker for DES information). Pre-registration must be completed at least two business days prior to attendance, along with the school year non-refundable registration fee. Each participant will select a site and program session. Registration booklets with detailed information are available at each site or at the Glendale Parks and Recreation office, 5850 W.
