Watt Watchers Program
The Watt Watchers Program actively engages teachers, students, and their families in examining their use of energy and implementing proven technologies and behavior changes to reduce the consumption of energy, thereby reducing the carbon footprint.
Goals
- Provide teachers with energy lessons which are aligned to the Arizona Academic Standards
- Provide discovery stations on the topic of energy for classroom teachers
- Provide City of Glendale Education staff as a resource to teachers and students
- Involve students in critical- thinking activities that will foster self-confidence and promote the love of science.

Eligible Schools
The Watt Watchers program is available to sixth grade teachers in public, private, and charter schools located in the city of Glendale.

Guest Presentations
The main goal of the Discovery Stations is to stimulate thought and discussions among students on energy conservation, on devices that use energy, on using solar, and on how students can be a catalyst for reducing energy consumption in their home and community.
