New York Times bestselling crime novelist Lisa Gardner will discuss and sign the fourth entry in her D.D. Warren series, Live to Tell, during this upcoming Authors @ the Teague event.
In Live to Tell, an investigation into the murders of entire families leads Boston homicide detective D.D. Warren inside the deeply disturbing world of violently psychotic, institutionalized children. Critics are praising Live to Tell as “another gripping thriller” which is “creepy, psychologically twisted” and “an excellent novel.” (“Booklist,” starred review)
Lisa Gardner has written 25 books in both the suspense and romance genres, the latter under the pseudonym “Alicia Scott.” In addition to the D.D. Warren series, she is also known for the FBI Profiler Series featuring Rainie Conner, Pierce Quincy, and his daughter Kimberly. Living in New Hampshire with her husband, daughter, dogs, and a three-legged cat, Gardner sponsors race cars in her spare time.

Velma Teague Branch Library
Bestselling urban fantasy novelist Carrie Vaughn visits the Velma Teague Branch Library on Wednesday, July 28th to discuss and sign the eighth entry in her Kitty Norville werewolf series.
In Kitty’s latest adventure, Kitty Goes to War, post-traumatic stress disorder has transformed three werewolf soldiers into savage killers, and it looks like everyone’s favorite werewolf radio show host may be their only hope. Too bad she also has her hands full with a lawsuit from the CEO of a chain of convenience stores. Not to mention a chain of suspiciously inconvenient weather. As always, Vaughn’s books promise “Enough excitement, astonishment, pathos, and victory to satisfy any reader.” (Charlaine Harris, author of the Sookie Stackhouse vampire series, on Kitty and the Midnight Hour)
Vaughn is a former Air Force brat and self-professed “SF geek,” introduced to the genre by her parents. She worked a variety of jobs ranging from Renfaire wench to editor before earning her Masters in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder and embarking on her writing career.
The program is free. Books will be available for purchase and signing. For more information, please call 623-930-3439.
